Catherine Nault
Catherine (Sheridan) Nault, 98, of Camden, formerly of North Andover, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport after a very brief illness. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of James and Delia (Robichaud) Sheridan and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She married Leo E. Nault in 1935. During their courtship, they enjoyed taking day trips by train from Massachusetts to Old Orchard Beach. For many years, Mrs. Nault worked at Ford's Coffee Shop in Andover. She has also worked at the Washington Woolen Mill in Lawrence where she held several positions and in 1980, retired from Merrimack College. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Andover and also attended St. Michael's Catholic Church in North Andover. Mr. and Mrs. Nault owned and operated Sheridan Bed and Breakfast in Hampton Beach for seven years. Mr. Nault died in 1969. Mrs. Nault joined the North Andover Senior Center when it opened and remained active there until she moved to Maine to live with her son and his family in October 2004. In August of 2006 she moved to Merry Garden Estates in Camden. A self-motivated and social person, Mrs. Nault enjoyed a wide circle of friends. She was an avid bridge player having played three or four times a week with the Thomaston Bridge group. She especially enjoyed her Camden friends who faithfully came to Merry Garden Estates to play bridge with her. Surviving are her two children, Suzanne Nault of Dunstable, Mass., Robert Nault and his wife Sandra of Lincolnville, Maine; two grandchildren, Aedrienne Nault of Portland, Maine, Robert Nault Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; and seven brothers and sisters. Services were held Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St., Camden, Maine. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Catholic Cemetery, Andover. Memorial donations may be made to Greyhound Placement Service of New Hampshire, P.O.
