What's Up: Success, sleep, or both? It's Cinco de Hypno
By Avery McKenzie
Ever wanted to see a hypnotist who can lure your friends into shakin' it like Shakira and rockin' it like Bon Jovi? Well, here is your chance! The Andover Youth Council is bringing hypnotist Jim Spinnato to Old Town Hall this Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. This year's show, called Cinco de Hypno, is the fifth year of this wild event, and promises to be yet another success. If being hypnotized is not for you, come and watch others get sleepy... very sleepy! The night will be full of opportunities for audience participation as the opening acts will draw from the crowd's collective creativity. Participants in the opening acts will be challenged to rise above their fears to drink grotesque shakes and endure cruel punishments to be crowned the king or queen of Cinco de Hypno. The night is sure to be overflowing with hysterically embarrassing and comic moments. Andover Youth Council is hosting the event for all of Andover's high school-aged students. Doors open at Old Town Hall at 7:30 and the cost is $7 per person. Hope to see you all there. It'll be a night to remember, or to completely forget! For more information about the event, call Andover Youth Services at 978-623-8241; or e-mail ays@andoverma.gov.
