Edwin Roy Brown


Edwin Roy Brown, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 17, at his home.

He was born, raised and educated in the Ballardvale section of Andover, and graduated from Punchard High School.

He was the son of the late Edwin W. and Mildred E. (Nickerson) Brown.

He was a member of the former Ballardvale Methodist Church.

Mr. Brown worked for many years at the Shawsheen Rubber Co. and retired as a technical sales consultant.

He served in the Massachusetts State Guard as sergeant and platoon leader.

Mr. Brown was a member of St. Matthew's Lodge in Andover, a Shriner, 32nd degree, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies of Lowell, Consistory of the Scottish Rites and the Aleppo Temple in Wilmington.

Mr. Brown summered in York, Maine, where he cleared the land and built his home over looking Nubble Light.
