Lucille R. Hopley

Lucille R. Hopley of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and formerly of Andover, died Feb. 13.

Mrs. Hopley was born in Pittsfield, the daughter of Frank and Delia Reddington.

She graduated from Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee.

She married Ronald Hopley of Pittsfield and they lived in Andover most of their life together.

Mrs. Hopley taught school in Pittsfield and Andover for many years.

"She loved every student she ever had," her husband said. "Lucille kept track of her students by subscribing to the Townsman for the last 13 years, after she retired from teaching."

She and her husband lived in Fountain Hills since they both retired in 1993.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laura Nickerson of Fountain Hills, Calif., and Susan Fletcher of Santa Fe, N.M.; a granddaughter; and two brothers, Charles Reddington of San Diego, Calif., and John Reddington of Pittsfield.
