Julia M. McConnell

Julia M. (Fahy) McConnell, 88, of Andover and Jupiter, Fla., and formerly of Needham, died Sunday morning, Feb. 25, at Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover.

She was the wife of John A. McConnell Jr., with whom she celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Dec. 7, 2006.

She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late John L. and Margaret (Dungan) Fahy.

Mrs. McConnell attended St. Augustine Church in Andover.

Besides her husband, family members include a daughter, Marianne M. Alagero of Andover; four sons, John A. McConnell III of Greenfield, Michael McConnell of Cambridge, Joseph T. McConnell of Millis, and James P. McConnell of Simsbury, Conn.; and 11 grandchildren.

She was also mother of the late Patricia A. McConnell, who died in 1996.

Arrangements were by the O'Donnell Funeral Home in Lowell.
