Michael Allen King

Michael Allen King, 45, of Andover, died at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine, on Friday, March 2, after suffering from a systemic infection for an extended period of time.

Mr. King, the son of Thomas and Carolyn King, was born in Andover.

Educated in the Andover school system, Mr. King went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduation, he worked in engineering capacities for several firms in Maine and Massachusetts.

He married Patricia Ross, and they eventually settled near Augusta, Maine.

Mr. King had many interests including purebred dogs and hunting. From two safaris to Africa, he brought back many trophies.
