Barbara Mitton

Barbara (Eastman) Mitton, 74, of Center Ossipee, N.H., died Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Mountainview Nursing Home in Ossipee, N.H.

She was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Lynn, the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn Eastman.

Ms. Mitton was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1950 and attended Melrose-Wakefield School of Nursing.

She grew up in Saugus and had lived in Andover until 1976 and then moving to Gilford, N.H. and Methuen before moving to Center Ossipee, N.H.

She had worked in a doctor's office in Saugus and also as a teacher's aide as well as a real estate broker. Ms. Mitton also worked in Medical Records at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, N.H. and volunteered at the Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, N.H.

Family members include her long-time companion Tom Emmett, Center Ossipee, N.H.; a daughter, Suzanne Mitton-Robb and her husband Bruce Robb, Methuen; a son, Steven Mitton and his wife Madelyn of Andover; and a son, Randolph Mitton and his wife Sheila Crowley of Andover. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melanie, Heather, and Nickolas.

ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services were held Monday at the Ballardvale United Methodist Church.
