Carol Ann Znamierowski

Carol Ann (Winkley) Znamierowski, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Lawrence and a lifelong resident of Andover, she graduated as class president from Andover High in 1959 where her yearbook noted she always had a smile for everybody, was very responsible and a good worker.

She continued her education at the Franklin Pierce Secretarial School in Boston.

She was employed as the purchasing and transportation coordinator for the town of Andover for 22 years where her commitment and dedication to the safe transportation of the community's children brought her the praise and recognition of her peers as a tireless, outstanding community contributor.

She attended the St. Augustine Church in Andover.

She was "a kind woman of great dignity," her family said. "Her greatest legacy is that of a wonderful, loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in the accomplishments of her three children, their families, and her five grandchildren."

Family members include her husband of 46 years, Gerald Znamierowski; daughter, Karen Hammond and her fiancee James Laura; two sons, Jeffrey Znamierowski and his wife Marie, and Gary Znamierowski and his fiance Kimberly Kelley; five grandchildren; aunts, Margaret Reilly of Andover and Elizabeth Kew of Lowell; and many cousins.

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.

Arrangements were by the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 N. Main St., Andover.
