Beverly Wobesky

Beverly (Brown) Wobesky, 79, of Andover, died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Academy Manor, Andover.

Mrs. Wobesky was born and raised in Fall River and was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Fall River, and a graduate of Katherine Gibbs School, Providence, R.I.

Before retirement, she had worked as secretary to the business manager of Philips Academy, Andover.

Mrs. Wobesky was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Old Colony Historical Society, the Mass. Audubon Society and, at one time, was a member of the Andover Garden Club.

Family members include her husband, Norman A. Wobesky of Andover and her son, Jonathan B. Wobesky of Brighton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Anne G. Wobesky and her parents, Earle C. and Marian J. (Gardner) Brown.

Arrangements were by the Charles Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home in Andover.
