Jane Louise Ellis

Jane Louise (Timbrell) Ellis, 70, of Andover, died surrounded by her family Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Lawrence General Hospital, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Mrs. Ellis was a member of Christ Church in Andover and worked and volunteered at the American Heart Association.

Born in New Britain, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Hadley) Timbrell.

Family members include her husband, Charles A. Ellis Jr., MD, of Andover; son Steven and his wife Doreen Ellis of Daytona Beach, Fla.; daughter Trina and her husband Joseph Ippolito of Andover; son Jeffrey and his wife Kathleen Ellis of Cumming, Ga.; son Stephen Ellis of Cumming, Ga.; daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Ellis of Andover; six grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Mine and her husband Maas of Toronto.

A private memorial service will be held at Christ Church in Andover.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence General Hospital, 1 General St., Lawrence, MA 01842; or to the charity of one's choice.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Home.
