Kenneth L. Dauber


Kenneth L. Dauber, 74, died Thursday Jan. 4, at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

He was born and educated in Trout Run, Pa., before moving to Massachusetts, making his home in Andover.

During the Korean War, he served in the US Navy, where he received the China Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and received an honorable discharge.

He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Malden Mills in Lawrence before his retirement.

After retiring he was a driver for the Andover Senior Center, and the Edgewood Retirement Center in North Andover.

Mr. Dauber belonged to the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Pa. He loved playing golf, the card game 45s, and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Penn State Nittany Lions.

He was the widower of Barbara (Renninger) Dauber. Family members include his son, David W. Dauber and his wife Debbie of Marlboro; two daughters, Pamela S. Runge and her husband Kenneth of Lawrence and Jennifer L. Dauber and her fiance Mark C. Barron of Windham, N.H.; one brother, Robert Dauber of Williamsport, Pa.; one sister, Charlotte Holtzapple of Lewisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Niel, Richard, Doyle, Jackie and Charles Dauber, Bette Forma, Ruth Aderhold and Nora Belle Zimmer.

Funeral arrangements were by Pollard Funeral Home in Methuen.
