R. Anthony Hibbert

R. Anthony Hibbert, 96, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Woodbriar in Wilmington.

Born in Les Cayes, Haiti, Mr. Hibbert ran Maison Naar, a B. F. Goodrich tire and hardware store in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

He moved to Andover in 1981. Mr. Hibbert was an active member of the elderly community at Stowe Court, where he loved to play bingo and card games.

He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Rolande A. Hibbert.

Family members include son, Peter of Bethesda, Md.; daughter-in-law, Jeannette of Edgemere, Md.; daughters, Alice M. and her husband Robert Pincus of Andover, and Elisabeth H. Mendis of Silver Spring, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home in Andover.
