Fifty-five students auditioned for Andover High School's musical production of Once on This Island and all students were cast. There will be four performances of the production, Nov. 9-12, at the Collins Center.
766 Parent Advisory Council meeting is Wednesday
Transition planning will be the topic for the next meeting of Andover's 766 Parent Advisory Council on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in the South School Medial Center. Terry McLaughlin, from the Federation for Children with Special Needs, will discuss how to design and effectively implement a plan for children as they move from level to level in the school system. Also to be discussed, is the important issue of planning for them to move out into the community. For more information, call 470-3175.
Merrimack College hosts national writing conference
The College is hosting the 17th Annual National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing. Presenters will explore the theme, "Peer Tutoring 2000: Looking Ahead, Looking Back," to examine issues regarding the history, present state, and future of tutoring in writing.
