Police bust 23 at party

Andover police arrested 23 teens last Friday night at a beer party allegedly hosted by a 15-year-old boy.

According to police reports, a neighbor complained to police at around 11:30 p.m. about loud noise at 9 Whispering Pines Drive. Upon arrival of the police, someone in the house reportedly announced "It's the cops," and nearly 10 youths tried to run out the back door before they were caught by police and sent back inside.

Police charged the youths, all from Andover, with being minors in possession of alcohol, and charged the boy hosting the party with keeping a disorderly house.

The boy's father was out of town, and was being supervised by an adult who lives elsewhere in town, police said.

Police found vomit in the bathroom and beer bottles and broken eggs elsewhere in the house.
