First jump ball of 1999-00 basketball season is Saturday
Over the next few weeks, the Townsman will preview 1999-2000 Andover High varsity winter sports teams. We begin today with boys basketball, girls basketball and ice hockey.

Hockey captain Swift expects 100 percent recovery, but may be out for the season
The good news -- and the only news that matters -- is Andover High senior hockey captain Jason Swift is going to be all right. But it was a very scary weekend for Jason and his parents, coaches and friends.

AHS has 3 football players named Merrimack Valley All-Conference for 1999 season
Mike Giles, Pat Murnane and Charles Murnane have been named first-team Merrimack Valley All-Conference in football for the 1999 season.

Synchro team shines at regional meet
Nashua, N.H. -- Members of the Andover-North Andover YMCA Synchers team demonstrated their skills at the New England Synchronized Swimming Associations regional Figures Competition on Sunday, Dec. 5.
